Over 1 in 3 Women Prefer to Consume Entertainment Content Via Their Smartphone

Eighty percent of women are extremely/very likely to seek out content on lifestyle topics in a typical week, and as part of the POPSUGAR Insights Content, Culture, and Commerce study, we surveyed over 1,500 women between the ages of 18-44 and asked them to select the device they say is their favorite for consuming online content and information on various lifestyle topics.

For women who preferred their laptop or desktop computer for lifestyle content, entertainment ranked first overall with 50.4%, followed by fashion (49.5%), food/cooking (49.2%), home decorating (49%), and beauty (49%).

For women who prefer their smartphone, entertainment once again ranked number one overall (34%), followed by food/cooking (30%), beauty (29%), fitness/health (27%), fashion (27%), personal technology (23%), and home decorating content (23%).

For women who love their tablets, food/cooking (13.5%) ranked first overall, followed by home decorating (12%), entertainment (12%), beauty (12%), fashion (11%), fitness (11%), and personal technology (10%).
