Staying Balanced and Healthy are Keys to Wellness for Over 7 in 10 Women

For women, smart wellness choices lead to positive moods. Over half of women plan on focusing on a healthy eating or exercise program in 2019 and women are laser focused on personal achievement and dedication to their own wellness journey. Making smart choices help women feel better about themselves. As part of the POPSUGAR Insights 2019 Wellness Report, we asked US women between the ages of 18 and 49 to give us a peek into their wellness journey and share more about their goals & challenges as well as the steps they plan to take along the way.

Overall, 94% of women say they feel better about themselves when they make smart, informed choices towards a healthier lifestyle. On the journey to a better lifestyle, women seek to stay balanced (77%), having good friends (76%), staying healthy (76%), and pursuing passions (71%) are the keys to wellness stated by most women.

Beyond these core areas of focus, women are less concerned with trying to achieve a lifestyle that surpasses their parent's achievements (18%), having children (26%), or seeking a flexible work schedule (43%). Interestingly, knowledge of how to eat and exercise correctly is cited by only 44% of women, meaning that women have a strong concept about the correct path to take, but seek personalized information and inspiration about how to achieve their goals.
